Max Cavalera’s Soulfly will return to Australia in September with City of Fire and Incite for what promises to be a brutal assault on poor unsuspecting eardrums.
Soulfly formed after Cavalera split from metal legends Sepultura in 1996, releasing their first album in 1998 and have sporadically existed with various lineups ever since.Along for the ride are Vancouver based City of Fire featuring Fear Factory's Burton C. Bell and Strapping Young Lad's Byron Stroud and Jed Simon who have solidified their place in modern metal history with chunky beasts of tunes like 'Carve Your Name' and surprised fans with post modern power ballad 'Rising'.
Finally, opening the show will be Incite, featuring Richie Cavalera, Max's stepson. Richie has appeared on Soulfly records before but is now stepping out on his own.
