Axl Rose is suing Irving Azoff, the most powerful man in the music business.
Irving Azoff, who was Guns N Roses manager as well as head of Ticketmaster and Live Nation, is being sued by Rose because of the failure of the Chinese Democracy album.The wild living frontman claims that Azoff tried to force Axl to reunite with the 'classic’ line-up of the band. He goes on to claim that when the reunion was aborted that Azoff attempted to sabotage the band’s movements.
TMZ reports the lawsuit accuses Azoff of "devising and implementing a secret plan to set up Rose and the band for failure so that Rose would have no choice but to reunite with the original Guns N' Roses' members."
Axl Rose is now suing for a total sum of $5 million. Irving Azoff has issued the following statement:
"On advice of counsel I cannot respond at this time, but will discuss in my upcoming book, 'My Life with William Bill Bailey.''
William Bill Bailey, is Rose’s childhood name which his lawsuit says "carries significant emotional damage from Rose's childhood".
