Andy Fraser from Free, Roger Daltrey from The Who, Sting from The Police, will tell their story in an upcoming BBC documentary `I`m in a Rock `N` Roll Band`.
The show is a 5-part series starting on The BBC on May 1. It examines the greatest bands in rock history from the perspective of the musicians who were part of them.“It was a real kick to be able to participate in this show. It is great to get the thoughts and humor of so many mutually respected musicians all talking about a rock band from the perspective of its individual members,” Fraser said.
Andy Fraser formed Free with Paul Rodgers when he was 15-years old.
They released their first album ‘Tons of Sobs’ featuring I’m A Mover’ and just two years later released their third album ‘Fire And Water’ featuring the now classic ‘All Right Now’.
By 1971, the band broke up due to differences between Rodgers and Fraser but reformed just one year later to try and rescue Paul Kossoff from drug addiction. Kossoff died in 1976 from heart failure.
