David Letterman has gone into the record business and his first signing is Southern California pop-rock band Runner Runner.
Letterman's C.E. Music is a joint venture with Jack Ponti's MRV and distributed through EMI Records.Ponti tells Undercover News that "they (C.E.) found the band but we A&Re'" He says what attracted him to the band was "the songwriting and the work ethic".
Runner Runner's first release will be "So Obvious" in June. The band is currently in Los Angeles working on their first album with producer Dave Darling.
