The toughest band alive, the Beasts of Bourbon have signed a deal with the home of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and Dallas Crane, Alberts.
According to a message on the Alberts website, the Beasts have signed an exclusive worldwide recording deal with the label, which has been responsible for the careers of many Australian hard rock (and occasionally pop) acts in the 70s.This is promising news for Beasts of Bourbon fans, who have seen the band jump up on stage occasionally since Homebake 2004.
Front man Tex Perkins said of the signing, "The Alberts label releases have been a huge influence on the Beasts of Bourbon, so to be signed to this legendary label is not only a great honour and the start of an exciting new chapter in the bands history, it feels like... destiny."
The Beasts have been an important part of Australia's rich musical heritage, forming in 1983 and have often been compared to fellow Australians, The Birthday Party and at least once described as Muddy Waters on crack.
We can expect some new material next year.
