Blur are another act getting into the celebration of Record Store Day.
They are set to release brand new material in 7 inch format for Record Store Day on April 17.Damon Albarn told The Sun, "We want independent record store to continue, they're an important part of our musical culture."
"Music is a simple way for Blur to show our support and we hope people like it."
The Parlophone label is to release twelve seven inch singles, limited to 1,000 copies only to mark Record Store Day. The series features tracks by Babyshambles, The Beatles, Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse, Chiddy Bang, Hot Chip, Bat For Lashes, Jonsi, Lily Allen, Pet Shop Boys and more. On April 17, over a thousand independent shops across the world will be marking the occasion.
Record Store Day Australia kicks off on April 17.
