In 1993 Steve Miller released the `Wide River` album. In 2010, he is preparing for a comeback with not one, but two new studio albums.
The first album will be called ‘Bingo’. It will feature covers of blues classics from B.B. King, Jimmy Reed and Lowell Fusion.The second album will be the companion piece featuring more covers including songs from Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and Junior Wells.
‘Bingo’ is due in June and the sequel early 2011.
The Steve Miller Band formed in San Francisco in 1967. The band had a global hit in 1972 with ‘The Joker’ and then rolled out the hits through the 70s with songs like ‘Fly Like An Eagle’, ‘Take The Money and Run’, ‘Rock N Me’, ‘Jet Airliner’, ‘Jungle Love’ and ‘Abracadabra’.
The Steve Miller Band ‘Greatest Hits’ album, released in 1978, has sold more than 13 million copies.
