The Who's Pete Townshend is expected to be announced as a keynote speaker at SxSW in Austin in March 2007.
The Who founder, songwriter and guitarist will attend the music conference in between the Tampa, Florida and Mexico City dates on The Who's 2007 North American tour.While Townshend will attend as a speaker at the conference, festival director Roland Swenson has been quick to announce that The Who will definitely not be appearing at the event.
Earlier acts announced as speakers include singer/songwriter Ricki Lee Jones and soul legend Booker T. Jones.
Townshend now joins the previous luminary speakers Robert Plant, Neil Young and Ray Davies.
SxSW 2007 will take place between March 14 and March 18 in Austin.
