Yoko Ono has star pulling power. When she performed her first show with the Plastic Ono Band in New York this week, Eric Clapton, Bette Midler and Paul Simon came out to play.
Yoko turns 77 this week but the house was rocking when she came a-knocking.Eric Clapton, Klaus Voormann and Jim Keltner together with Yoko were members of that first Plastic Ono Band live album. The reunion was historic.
Paul Simon and his son Harper joined them for two songs. Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth performed with Yoko. The Scissor Sisters were there as was Gene Ween singing with Sean Lennon on John’s ‘Oh Yoko’.
