Devo will debut new music during their one-hour showcase for the 2010 Winter Olympics on February 22.
The album has been anointed with the unofficial title of ‘Fresh’ and will be the first album of new music from Devo in 20 years.“After conferring with Warner Bros. Records and Mother LA we have decided to permit Devo to debut some new songs and a new look at their Olympics concert. We couldn’t have wished for a better testing ground from such a fantastically diverse crowd,” Devo’s Greg Scholl said in a statement.
The difficult decision for Devo is to choose which songs will go on the album as they have recorded many more than the 12 they need.
They plan on using upcoming shows as “focus groups” to determine which songs the fans like and will decide from there.
Devo will also play at Coachella in April.
