With 58 days to go the Bluesfest, each day this month Undercover will give you the background on the acts of 2010.
Joe Bonamassa is an amazing guitarist.Joe picked up his first guitar at age 4 and was playing Stevie Ray Vaughan note for note by age 7.
Bonamassa became somewhat of a child prodigy opening for B.B. King at the age of 12.
At 14, he formed the band Bloodline with Erin Davis, son of Miles; Waylon Krieger, son of Robby and Berry Oakey, Jr.
Bonamassa cites Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff and Peter Green as his heroes. One of those heroes, one-time Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green, is also on Bluesfest 2010.
Joe Bonamassa recorded his first solo album ‘A New Day Yesterday’ with producer Tom Dowd.
His next album will be as part of the supergroup Black Country with Deep Purple’s Glenn Hughes and John Bonham’s son Jason.
