Sam Clark has become the ambassador of music competition Soundcheck.
Soundcheck.com.au is offering unsigned artists a chance at a start in the music industry with a cash prize of $50,000 on offer as well as recording time and distribution of a CD single.Sam, who plays Ringo in Neighbours, had the number one physical CD single in Australia this week on the ARIA Chart. He records with Paul Wiltshire’s PLW.
"Winning the role of Ringo on Neighbours through the 2006 Dolly Competition, was my break into the entertainment industry - the Soundcheck Music Competition could be yours. The Soundcheck Music Competition is a great opportunity to get the edge you need as an artist, with help from industry greats Paul Wiltshire, Sir Charles Dixon and Philip Chan as judges," he says.
Schools will also be eligible for a $10,000 Music School Development Grant via the competition.
Music fans can log into Soundcheck.com.au to listen and vote on the music.
Every Monday a new round of voting commences until we hit the final round on March 22.
The final voting round will finish on March 29, 2010.
