Bob Dylan’s focal album for his first show in Melbourne last night was the 1965 classic ‘Highway 61 Revisited’.
Dylan performed 5 tracks from the album including the 10 minute epic ‘Desolation Row’ as well as ‘Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues’, ‘Highway 61 Revisited’, ‘Ballad Of A Thin Man’ and his signature tune ‘Like A Rolling Stone’.
‘Like A Rolling Stone’ is one of Bob’s most played songs. Last night was the 1,826th time he had played it live.
‘Together Through Life’, Dylan’s most recent album of original songs, was represented with only one song, the rarely played ‘Forgetful Heart’. Bob has only done it 34 times live.
